How a guitar is made

Every instrument begins with decisions about ergonomics, sound and character. Only then does the design move into wood, hardware and a precise final setup.

From design to instrument

The starting point is never an off-the-shelf specification. We first define the playing style, expected sound, ergonomics and visual character. These decisions shape the proportions of the body, neck and headstock, as well as the components that need to work as one system.

The workshop photographs show the next stages: preparing the neck and fingerboard, shaping the headstock, creating the markings, finishing the body, and installing the bridge, electronics and remaining hardware. Geometry and fit are checked before the build moves forward.

The final stage brings the instrument together: scale length, string height and electronics are set and verified. Only after this setup can the guitar be judged as a complete instrument - for comfort, response and sound.
